The Potential of Japanese Deep Tech Ventures to Solve Industrial Problems in the Philippines

A panel discussion, "The Potential of Japanese Deep Tech Ventures to Solve Industrial Challenges in the Philippines," will be held within the 10th Annual Conference of the Association of Hyperdifferent Fields, March 5-6, 2021 (Friday and Saturday), hosted by RIVANES.

The Philippines is one of the most remarkable countries in Southeast Asia with remarkable economic growth. On the other hand, the country still faces a mountain of social issues such as the environment, poverty, and health. Therefore, it is expected that science and technology from Japan and other neighboring countries will be brought together in the Philippines to solve social issues and create new industries in the country. In this session, we will focus on agriculture and environmental issues in particular to deepen understanding of local issues in the Philippines and introduce Japanese venture companies that are trying to enter and develop business in the Philippines with technologies developed in Japan.

We will have a program of discussions among researchers, start-ups, and large companies from a variety of perspectives, not limited to the themes of this session.
We are now accepting applications for audience participation. Please visit the conference website (see below).

*The event will be held after taking measures against new coronavirus infection on the day of the event. For more information
