The 10th Japan-Singapore Ecosystem Connections Session "Hubs Connecting, and Beyond" / March 5, 2021, 10:00a.m.-@Ota-ku, Tokyo
2021.01.15The Japan-Singapore Ecosystem Connectivity Session, "Hubs Connect, Beyond," will be held during the 10th Annual Conference of the Association for Transdisciplinary Research, hosted by RIVANES (March 5-6, 2021 (Friday and Saturday)).
Japan has long been an important market and collaborator for Singaporean companies, but due to differences in language and business practices, active collaboration has yet to materialize. In order to overcome this situation, LIVERNESS and Enterprise Singapore are implementing an initiative to connect the Japanese and Singaporean ecosystems in the form of the Enter to Japan Market Program, which will be launched in 2020. The Enter to Japan Market Program is a program to support Singaporean ventures to enter the Japanese market from 2020. (*)
We have already supported nine ventures in two programs and invested in four of them.
In this session, two of the four companies selected for the second round of the program will take the stage. Through their presentations, we will discuss the importance of connecting the ecosystem and explore the possibilities of further collaboration between Japanese and Singaporean companies.
speaker
TRIA Pte. Ltd.
Mr. Pei Kang Ng
CEO
Developed a plant-based bioplastic that can decompose in as little as 24 hours and a composting system. By utilizing tableware made of bioplastic material developed by TRIA, restaurants can turn garbage into compost within 24 hours by processing not only food scraps but also tableware in a special machine. No need to separate garbage, and the use of compost to grow plants makes it possible to realize a circular economy.

Dr. Gunzburg is a serial entrepreneur and professor of virology at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna.
In addition to these two companies, other ventures selected for the third program to be implemented in 2021 will also participate in this session.
We will have a program of discussions among researchers, start-ups, and large companies from a variety of perspectives, not limited to the themes of this session.
We are now accepting applications for audience participation, poster presentations, and booth exhibitors. Please visit the conference website (see below) for more information.
