Liverness Corporation is pleased to announce that the Japan Society of Hyperdiplomacy Kansai Forum 2020 will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at the Kobe International Conference Center. The theme of the conference is "The Circle of Knowledge for a Sustainable Society: Medical Care and Living Environment in the Aftermath of Coronavirus," and speakers and visitors will discuss how to pursue a sustainable form, especially in the areas of medicine, food, environment, and education, as society and lifestyles change dramatically in the wake of the spread of the new coronavirus. The speakers and visitors will discuss how to pursue sustainability, especially in the areas of medicine, food, environment and education.

Since 2018, RIVANES, together with the City of Kobe and the Kobe Medical Industry Development Organization, has been promoting the "MedTech Grand Prix KOBE," a program that supports social implementation of research results by researchers and venture companies that are passionate about solving problems in the bio-medical field, with the aim of fostering an ecosystem in which bio- and medical-related ventures can thrive. We are promoting "MEDTECH Grand Prix KOBE", a program to support social implementation of research results by researchers and venture companies that are passionate about solving problems in the bio-medical field. Therefore, we have decided to hold the event in Kobe as a venue for discussion on this theme and the creation of new knowledge.

Keynote speakers will be Mr. Shunichi Takahashi, Director, Open Innovation Center, Bayer Yakuhin K.K., and Mr. Michihiko Iwamoto, Chairman of Nippon Kankyo Sekkei, Inc. who will talk about "Global Healthcare including Countermeasures against Infectious Diseases" and "Resource Recycling toward Sustainable Society" respectively.

Bayer Yakuhin K.K. is a world-leading pharmaceutical company that continues to develop innovative therapeutics and diagnostics. Connected to R&D sites around the world, we are constantly moving forward with innovation. In order to actively promote R&D in collaboration with academia researchers and start-up companies, we have established an incubation facility, CoLaborator Kobe, in the Kobe Biomedical Innovation Cluster, and are committed to fostering a medical innovation ecosystem in Japan.

Nihon Kankyo Sekkei Co., Ltd. is a recycling company whose vision is to "recycle everything. The company has established a system to synthesize bioethanol at the plant level from clothes collected at stores, and has attracted attention by actually putting a car on the road. In addition, the company is developing an advanced recycling business that combines technology and entertainment through projects such as "BRING," a project in which it works with major companies to break down clothes to their raw materials, which are then reborn as clothing and sold again.

In addition to keynote speeches by Mr. Shunichi Takahashi, Director, Open Innovation Center, Bayer Yakuhin, and Mr. Tomohiko Iwamoto, Chairman, Nippon Kankyo Sekkei, 10 sessions are scheduled. Session details will be posted on the conference webpage as they become available.

The Forum will create a forum that will serve as a starting point for the global expansion of the "Circle of Knowledge," a fusion of knowledge that is created when passionate people such as junior high and high school students, university and graduate students, researchers, venture companies, and large corporations join hands to create a sustainable society.

We look forward to seeing many of you there.

Circle of Knowledge for a Sustainable Society
~ After Corona Medical and Environmental

Many researchers and companies have been working toward the realization of such a sustainable society, where the natural environment is properly preserved and future generations can also utilize resources, while the needs that arise in our lives today are also met. However, the global spread of the new type of coronavirus has prompted further updates to the sustainable society that has been touted. As people's lifestyles change dramatically, what new normalcy will we attain?

The "Circle of Knowledge" in the theme of this forum is the fused knowledge that is created when passionate people join hands. In this forum, academia, large corporations, venture companies, town factories, and junior and senior high school students will gather to discuss issues that transcend age, field, and industry, with the hope that participants will work together to create new knowledge that will form the new normal in after-corona.
