10:00	Main hall Welcoming Remarks by Director, Higher Institution Centers of Excellence, Borneo Marine Institute, Universiti Malaysia Sabah Dr. Ching Fui Fui is an Associate Professor at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and currently serves as the Dean of the Borneo Marine Research Institute, a centre of excellence dedicated to the conservation and sustainable development of marine resources. Her research interests focus on aquaculture and seed stock production for commercially important freshwater and marine fish species, including catfish, gobies, seabass, eels and groupers.

The presentation will also cover key achievements and impacts of these initiatives, challenges encountered in advancing responsible aquaculture in Malaysia, as well as future directions and opportunities for collaboration towards building a more resilient, regenerative, and nature-positive aquaculture sector.
