Future Fuel & Food Summitとは
The Future Food & Fuel Summit (FFFS) 2026, a flagship Singapore–Japan platform bringing together leaders from government, industry, academia, startups, investment and research to accelerate collaboration across future food and future energy.
Held in conjunction with the 60th anniversary of Singapore–Japan diplomatic relations and supported by the Embassy of Japan in Singapore, the Summit will strengthen bilateral partnerships and help translate scientific innovation into research collaborations, pilot projects, commercial opportunities and wider societal impact.

Dr. Aimee Pink is a Senior Research Fellow at the Bezos Centre for Sustainable Protein at NUS, National University of Singapore, whose research focuses on the psychosocial influences of food choice and eating behaviours.
Her recent research explores consumer perceptions, acceptance, and adoption of sustainable food innovations.
She has led pioneering studies on how children and families engage with alternative proteins, including plant-based, cultivated, and insect-derived foods. Her work provides valuable insights into the behavioural and societal factors that will shape the future success of alternative proteins.

Mr. Kurihara comes from Chigasaki in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. He lives and works in London. He joined Dentsu Inc. in 2008, after graduating from the State University of New York.
In 2015, he joined the Uhuru Corporation and became the Representative Director of the Overseas Headquarters based in London. He was engaged in capital and business partnerships with sensing-related businesses and the development and implementation of IoT, DX, and other data enterprises for private companies and government agencies.
In 2020, he co-founded ARK Inc. and was appointed as Chief Sustainability Officer. His hobbies include bushcraft camping and Muay Thai. His favourite fish is the Japanese char.

Dr. Yukihiro Kaneko leads Panasonic’s Perovskite PV business, driving the commercialization of glass-based perovskite photovoltaic technology for building-integrated applications. His work focuses on integrating renewable energy into buildings and urban environments through innovative building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) solutions. Working closely with developers, governments, researchers, and industry partners, he advances pathways for technology validation, market adoption, and sustainable urban development. He is particularly interested in how next-generation solar technologies can create value beyond power generation, enabling new possibilities for architecture, urban design, and more resilient cities.
Zhaotan Xiao

Zhaotan is currently co-Founder and CEO of METHA8. METHA8 is the 2026 Temasek Liveability Challenge winner focused on delivering affordable decarbonized power from liquid methanol. Zhaotan also serves on the Board of Denominator, an AI-native data solutions provider for emissions compliance, MRV, and EAC issuance.
Prior to these, Zhaotan served on the boards of RWDC Industries, a biotech materials company replacing single-use plastics, and REDEX, a Renewable Energy Certificates platform. Zhaotan started his career as a trader at 3 major investment banks – JP Morgan, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, and ANZ – leaving banking as Global Head of Commodities Trading. He also served as a Venture Partner with WI Harper, a pioneering venture capital fund.
