Abstract Registration

Why Aquaculture and Sustainability?

Aquaculture now supplies over half of the world’s aquatic food, surpassing wild fish catch, with demand set to double by 2050. However, its rapid growth brings environmental, social and economic challenges, requiring more sustainable practices and collaboration among stakeholders to ensure responsible and climate-friendly development.

Objectives

In conjunction with the World Ocean Celebration, the Sustainable Aquaculture Summit (SAS) 2026 – Sabah Edition, aims to identify challenges and opportunities in implementing sustainability in the aquaculture and marine industry, develop effective strategies to address these issues, showcase innovative research and development and foster cross-border collaboration and networking within Malaysia and Southeast Asia. We would like to emphasis on the importance of nature positive strategies to ensure the coastal and land ecosystems are preserved.

Eligibility for presentation

We invite participants to share their work through poster presentations at the Sustainable Aquaculture Summit (SAS) 2026. Poster registration is free (academics, students, researchers) and open to researchers, students, startups, and industry professionals.

Poster Requirements

  • Posters must be printed in A1 size (594 mm x 841 mm)
  • All presenters are required to print and bring their posters to the venue
  • Posters should be visually clear, concise, and well-organized
