About HIC UK 2023:.

The theme for 2023 HIC in UK came about with the idea that UK has always been the birth place for invention and discovery in science and technology. UK still being the birth place of science and technology there will be a chance for futher industrialization using Deep Tech. Through the Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference in UK 2023, we will excavate different types of cutting edge technologies from UK with researchers, frontliners and relevant stakeholders from the world. We will then explore how we can collaborate together to create new projects.

Calling for participants

In the Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference, researchers, faculty, and students from academia can join the conference physically, and free of charge. For interested participants outside of academia, please contact us. The conference will be conducted in London, UK.

In this session we will be looking at how collaboration of design and technology can give new insight to our life style. However there are trends coming up with small lots but wider variety of products base in people's needs. During the session, we will have members from these area to share their idea on how the future of product development will be.

Mr. Philip Winter, Co-Founder, Nebia Inc.
Philip was the Co-Founder and former CEO of Nebia (founded in 2013), a San Francisco based consumer hardware start-up that designs innovative water In 2022, Nebia was acquired by Brondell, a home goods company co-founded by renowned entrepreneur Mark Cuban. Nebia's products are in over 100,000 homes, have saved over 5 million gallons of water, and have saved 27 million kWh of energy. Mr. Kazuki Ooi, Manager, East Japan Railway Company London Office
He joined JR East in 2016 and since joining JR East, he has been in charge of commercial facilities, real estate management, and real estate development. And also he is currently responsible for the new business development by connecting UK and Japan.

In the food and agri tech session we'll be hearing from 3 innovators and experts in the field with discussions on the problem of future protein production and the development of lower alcohol spirits drinks. The world's growing population is facing a protein shortage and climate change makes creating novel ways to produce and distribute protein all the more important. While our new generation of consumers want an enjoyable, but less alcoholic and calorific alternative to alcoholic beverages.
