Important Notice

Due to the evacuation order issued in Minamisoma City on October 25th in the wake of torrential rains, the Fukushima Hamadori Forum of the Society of Transdisciplinary Research, Japan, scheduled for October 26th, has been canceled.

Posters that were scheduled to be presented will be considered as presented, as the abstract book has been printed.

We are very sorry to all those who were planning to attend.

The research building completed in September 2019 within the RTF will house nine universities, research institutions, and companies related to drones, robotics, mobility, and nondestructive testing, and will now begin full-scale demonstration testing. Panel discussions and poster/booth exhibits will be held with these tenants and business companies, venture companies, and researchers from within and outside the prefecture, focusing on drones, robotics, nondestructive testing, and agricultural IoT. This is a rare opportunity to consider field-based research in a real setting, and we look forward to the participation of those who wish to accelerate their research and development using the RTF and consider new initiatives with those who do.

Keynote: The Importance of Industrial Drones and Robotic Test Fields

ACSL is the first Japanese manufacturer of industrial drones to be listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers. In an aging and shrinking workforce like Japan, industrial drones have the potential to reduce manpower and unmanned operations in various "hard, tedious, and dangerous" activities conducted by companies. In order for manufacturing companies to promote the development of safe and secure technologies to solve such important social issues, a vast, risk-free test field is indispensable. The Fukushima Robot Test Field (RTF) is an essential space for the creation of new industries such as drones, and the presentation will touch on the industrial drone market and the role of the RTF in creating that market.

He joined ASCL in July 2016. Previously, he worked for McKinsey & Company in Japan and Sweden on management reform projects for Japanese and European companies. He holds a Master's degree from the Graduate School of Creative Science and Engineering, Waseda University.

In technological areas such as drones and automated driving, where not only high technology but also safe and secure utilization is required for social implementation, demonstration tests using actual fields are indispensable. People on the cutting edge of drones, automated driving, and urban transportation systems will gather to discuss what is possible only with RTF, which covers all fields in the sky, on the ground, and in the water, and to expand the scope of ideas.

D. in Engineering from the University of Tokyo in 1998. In 2013, he returned to the University of Tokyo, where he has been in his current position since 2014. He is also a visiting professor at Nagasaki University of Science and Technology, a visiting professor at the Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies, the University of Tokyo, a board member of the Association for the Popularization of Electric Vehicles (APEV), and a board member of the Society of Instrument and Control Engineers (SICE). He has been working on social implementation of advanced technologies such as robotics and next-generation transportation in an interdisciplinary manner, contributed to the approval of Sendai City as a special zone, and is promoting the demonstration of near-future technologies such as automatic driving. He specializes in robotics, nonlinear control, ITS, and science and technology communication.

He started his career at the age of 24, starting his own ventures and non-profit organizations, and worked as a university employee before assuming his current position. Specializing in public policy, he has been conducting research on information collection and sharing systems using long-range unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in times of disaster. Currently, he is conducting research and development with the goal of social implementation of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles (fixed-wing aircraft) for data collection and sharing of information during normal and emergency situations.

Graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at Keio University in 1984. In 1991, he was transferred to SOKEN (Toyota and Denso's research institute), where he worked on racing engines and Lexus engines. He then returned to DENSO in 2009 and worked in the Technology Planning Department as the General Manager of the Global Technology Planning Office and the General Manager of the Technology Strategy Office for New Businesses before launching the Work Assist Robot Development Office at the Technology Development Center in 2016. 2018 he was transferred to the Social Solution Promotion Department, where he remains to this day.

In 1968, he engaged in research on mechanical engineering, material mechanics, and image measurement at Komatsu Ltd., Osaka University, and Wakayama University. 2009, after retirement, he established Moire Laboratory Inc. as a university-launched venture to put the results of his university research to practical use. After completing basic research, he established 4D Sensor Co. He is currently the chairman and representative director of the company. Developed a high-speed, high-precision 3D shape, deformation, and vibration measurement device based on patented technology. He plans to mass-produce and expand sales of this device. He is also involved in educational activities to enlighten children about science and technology. Professor emeritus at Wakayama University.

Akifumi Koike
After transferring from Gunma Technical High School to the Faculty of Informatics at Shizuoka University, he was involved in the research and development of X-ray CT and X-ray sensors at the Electronics Research Institute. While a PhD student, he founded ANSeeN in 2011 with a professor from the same institute.
Through the widespread use of our own large-area X-ray color cameras, which can be realized by combining advanced technologies in compound semiconductor processing and 3D LSI, we aim to realize a safe and secure society by providing medical checks for people and machines in a society where production and transportation are becoming automated.

Mr. Keisuke Kimoto
He graduated from the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology, Kumamoto University in 2007, and joined Keisoku Research Consultant Inc. in April 2007, where he has been inspecting infrastructure facilities using optical measurement methods such as 3D laser and SfM image measurement, and documenting and preserving cultural assets such as Gunkanjima and Kumamoto Castle stone walls. 2018, he joined the SIP He is a member of the Tottori University team (Principal Investigator: Prof. Tamotsu Kuroda), one of the infrastructure local implementation support teams, and worked on the Ejima Ohashi Bridge project, which verified the applicability of robot technology to bridge inspections. 2019, he received his PhD from the Graduate School of Engineering, Nagasaki University.

After working as a special researcher at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), he joined LIVERNESS. In addition to his diverse research experience at universities, major textile manufacturers, and national research institutes, he has also been engaged in science and technology promotion planning at a local government affiliated organization. He has been in his current position since May 2018.

Robotic technology development at the robot test field starting indoors and outdoors

Pillayers will introduce the robot development that is about to start with the RTF, including robots that can free humans from dangerous work environments and hard labor, robots that can move remotely or autonomously for use in agriculture and plant inspection, and technology development to facilitate interaction between robots and humans. Pillayers will also discuss robot development using the RTF, inviting players who have already implemented the RTF in society.

He was involved in the development of humanoid heavy machinery (prototype) as an ace pilot.

Born January 1, 1951 in Kakogawa City, Hyogo Prefecture. In 1974, he joined Fujitsu, and in 1979, he established his own company, Fuji Computer Sales (renamed Fuji Computer in 2013), and expanded the company's business with hit software products, etc. In 1999, he established the Information Technology In 1999, he established the Information Technology Academy, and in March 2008, he established Aioi Gakuin, a wide-area correspondence high school. Masaru Kashiwazaki
After completing his graduate studies at the University of Tokyo, he worked for the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan (now the National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO)) before coming to Utsunomiya University, where he has been in his current position since 2009. He is a full-time faculty member of the Faculty of Agriculture. Consistently engaged in research and development with the aim of practical application, and in 2014 established a joint venture company, the Institute of Agricultural Technology (now I-Eat Co., Ltd.), as a venture company originating from Utsunomiya University. Awarded the Invention Grand Prize (Tokyo Governor's Prize) in 2017 for the practical application of his research results.

Mr. Hiroyoshi Iwata
Born in 1969. Spent his childhood in Thailand and Indonesia. Graduated from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Agriculture. D. from the Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Tokyo. After engaging in research at the National Agricultural Research Organization (a research institute affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries) and other organizations, he has been an associate professor at the Biometrics Laboratory of the University of Tokyo since 2010, focusing on the fusion of agriculture and information science. Currently, he is expanding his research to Central America and Africa, focusing on accelerating breeding through the fusion of genome science and information science.

Hideaki Tsuru
D. in Engineering from the University of Tokyo. D. in Engineering from the University of Tokyo. He was engaged in advanced materials processing at the Institute of Industrial Science and obtained his degree through the joint development of an electric powder press with FANUC Corporation. Worked on high-speed cutting research as a RIKEN Basic Science Research Fellow, and joined the Basic Technology Research Center of Honda R&D Co. He was in charge of production technology research in ceramics forming, three-dimensional processing, and MEMS. While stationed in the U.S., he promoted research on nano-functional materials. he joined Yanmar in April 2016 and worked in the Commercialization Promotion Office of the Corporate Planning Department before assuming his current position.
