Mashida Forum 2022] Special Lecture_Livestock Production Model Born in Mashida, Japan / September 3, 2022

LIVERNESS Corporation will hold a special lecture, "Livestock Production Models Born in Masuda," at the Masuda Forum 2022 of the Association for Transdisciplinary Studies (at Sun Palace Masuda) on Saturday, September 3, 2010.

The livestock industry in Japan relies heavily on imports for feed, and prices are easily influenced by overseas conditions, contributing to the instability of the business. In Japan, abandoned farmland continues to increase throughout the country and has become a social problem. Aiming to resolve these issues, a research project on pasture fattening using abandoned land was launched, starting with the Mashida Farlam 2018, an interdisciplinary conference. Four years have passed since the project was launched, and we will report on the results that have emerged from the project and the key points needed to create a business originating from the region.

The program is not limited to the themes of this session, but includes discussions among local companies, researchers, venture companies, and large corporations from a variety of perspectives. For more information,Conference Websitefor more information.

Veterinarian (specialty: cattle). After graduating from university, he joined the Hyogo Agricultural Mutual Aid Association. As a clinical veterinarian, he was involved in breeding management and disease prevention treatment for dairy and beef cattle farmers. After joining RIVANES, he was in charge of a livestock project in Masuda City. He established Masuda Demonstration Farm and served as farm manager. He aims to accelerate knowledge inflow to the region and create a new industry using local resources.
