Sustainable Business - Creating people who make decisions and take action based on "sustainability

A panel discussion, "Sustainable Business - Creating People Who Make Decisions and Act on 'Sustainability'" (presented by Riverness University), will be held during the 10th Annual Conference of the Association of Transdisciplinary Studies, March 5-6, 2021 (Friday and Saturday), hosted by Riverness.

We are now at a major turning point in our values. The conventional concept of a capitalist economy centered on large corporations is being reversed, and the pursuit of financial capital is being replaced by the realization of a sustainable society. The eco-friendly and green economy as an adjunct to economic activity has come to an end, and a new economy centered on environmental technology has been born and is beginning to revolve around it. The way we work has shifted from being subservient to a single organization to an era of "individual networking," in which we actively determine the scope of our activities. Human resource development to increase individual skills, productivity, and efficiency, which were synonymous with "excellence" during the period of rapid economic growth, will no longer be applicable, and will be largely replaced by AI and robotics. How should education and human resource development be transformed in the future society? In this session, Mr. Kotani, deputy editor-in-chief of WIRED, will moderate a discussion on the future of education with Mr. Omote of East Japan Railway Company, who aims to create value and services with people as the starting point, Mr. Izumo of Euglena, a leading sustainable business leader, and Yukihiro Maru, director of Liverace University. Discussion.

We will have a program of discussions among researchers, start-ups, and large companies from a variety of perspectives, not limited to the themes of this session.
We are now accepting applications for audience participation. Please visit the conference website (see below).

*The event will be held after taking measures against new coronavirus infection on the day of the event. For more information
