Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference Thailand 2026 (HIC TH 2026) Concludes, Igniting the 2026 calendar with Interdisciplinary Momentum

Bangkok, Thailand – 31 January 2026 – Leave a Nest successfully hosted the Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference in Thailand 2026 (HIC TH 2026), bringing together researchers, industry leaders, startups, and ecosystem partners from Thailand and Japan to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation.
Held under the theme “Re-imagining Connections: From Education to Ecosystem,” HIC TH 2026 served as a platform for cross-sector dialogue addressing pressing societal challenges, including ageing societies, sustainable agriculture, and the translation of research into real-world impact.

The conference opened with a keynote address by Professor Emeritus Dr. Takeo Ogawa of Kyushu University and Yamaguchi University, who shared insights on innovation opportunities in ageing societies and emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in addressing demographic change.

HIC TH 2026 featured the HIC Splash Session and poster session, providing a platform for researchers to present concise introductions to their work, encouraging early-stage collaboration and knowledge exchange.

In addition, three panel sessions covering technology and cognitive health, the use of satellite data for sustainable agriculture, and strategies for scaling Thai research through industry and regional collaboration. These discussions highlighted the role of partnerships between academia, industry, and government in building resilient innovation ecosystems. Following the final panel session, a special presentation by the CEO of Yamada Shokai Holding Co.,Ltd. shared industry perspectives on building long-term research partnerships.


Through interdisciplinary dialogue and cross-border engagement, HIC TH 2026 reaffirmed Leave a Nest’s commitment to nurturing research-driven ecosystems in Southeast Asia. The conference successfully planted new seeds for collaboration, paving the way for future research partnerships and innovation-led growth in the region.
Building on the momentum of HIC Thailand 2026 as the first major innovation event of the year, Leave a Nest will continue to strengthen Thailand’s research and startup ecosystem through a series of upcoming initiatives.
The L-Grant Thailand 2026 Application will open in March 2026, providing early-stage passionate young researchers with catalytic funding support.
In parallel, applications for Tech Planter Thailand 2026 are now open until 8 May 2026, culminating in the Demo Day on 18 July 2026, where selected teams will present their innovations to corporate partners and investors.
The year will further conclude with Tech Venture Meetup Thailand 2026 on 13 November 2026, a platform designed to accelerate collaboration between startups, researchers, and industry leaders. Together, these initiatives reflect Leave a Nest’s continued commitment to nurturing innovation and building a sustainable, research-driven ecosystem in Thailand throughout 2026.
