The Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference (HIC) Malaysia is a flagship initiative by Leave a Nest Malaysia that functions as a “knowledge manufacturing” hub for the nation’s deep-tech ecosystem. Unlike traditional academic events, HIC is specifically designed to bridge the “Valley of Death” between laboratory research and commercial application. It brings together a diverse assembly of university researchers, early-stage startups, large corporations, and government agencies to break down professional barriers and co-create solutions for complex societal challenges.
The conference is characterized by its focus on translating Malaysia’s rich academic output into tangible industrial impact, particularly in sectors like agrifood, renewable energy, and biotechnology.
