Pre-briefing on the Knowledge Manufacturing Ignition at the Association of Hyperdifferent Fields Tokyo 2026
2026.02.10
Knowledge Manufacturing Ignition (Ignition: ignition, ignition) is a program that aims to create new research projects among participants from different fields and industries, including researchers, venture companies, and business companies. In the workshop, partners and RIVANES communicators join in the discussion and follow up on the ideas for collaboration that emerge from the dialogue between participants and materialize them until they are entered into the program. Teams selected from among the entries gathered will be asked to present their ideas at the "Knowledge Manufacturing Ignition Co-Creation Pitch. The projects selected by the partner companies will then be materialized while RIVANES also provides follow-up support.
Please see the details below on how to participate in the Knowledge Manufacturing Ignition.
In addition, on February 18 (Wed.) and 26 (Thu.), we will hold pre-conference briefings to provide an overview of the Knowledge Manufacturing Ignition and introduce the themes of each partner company. We hope that everyone will take advantage of this opportunity to formulate a collaborative hypothesis in advance and prepare for the day of the conference.

Background of this project
At conferences, exhibitions, and other gatherings where many participants gather, various collaboration ideas are generated through discussions among the participants. However, there are many cases where collaboration ideas are generated but do not progress to materialization. In addition, on the day of the event, there were times when there were too many people and it was difficult to talk as much as one would like.
Since 2011Hyper Interdisciplinary Conferencewhich manages the conference, has been seeking ways to create and implement interdisciplinary research themes and projects that can change the world from a place where participants of different fields, occupations, and ages come together. Efforts to stimulate discussion and subsequent project formation, such as on-site and post-program follow-up by RIVANES communicators, have become standard at the transdisciplinary conference. 2022 will see a new mechanism to encourage collaboration among researchers, ventures, and companies in different fields, with the special We have launched "Knowledge Manufacturing Ignition."
In this Knowledge Manufacturing Ignition, we would like to create a mechanism to generate "concrete steps" that go beyond just presenting results and exchanging business cards, together with all participants who would like to create new collaborations and research projects, centering on the approximately 100 poster presenters. Let's start with this event and work together to create something new.
The creation of new knowledge by combining knowledge with knowledge. At LIVERNESS, we call this "knowledge manufacturing", and it is the process of solving unsolved problems with new knowledge. With this knowledge manufacturing ignition, we aim to initiate new knowledge manufacturing.
