At the Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference Osaka 2025, hosted by RIVANES, the session "Knowledge Born from On-site Observation - How to Create a Place where Questions are Generated" (session partner:BIZEN Okayama University Hospital Medical Open Innovation Program(the "Company") will be held.

A project begins with a question. But who finds the questions, where, and how? In this session, the speakers will trace the process of observation in the medical, engineering, and nursing care fields, sublimating their findings into questions, and putting them into practice. How do the questions that emerge in the field involve people and create collaboration that transcends the barriers of the field? D. in engineering from Tokyo Metropolitan University, and has been working as an assistant professor at Kumamoto University since 2011, specializing in ultrasound engineering and medical imaging. He is particularly interested in research and development of wearable ultrasound sensing technology, aiming to realize a new diagnostic and monitoring method in the medical field. In addition to his research activities, he co-founded and became the president of SERMONTECH Corporation in 2022 with the goal of "democratizing ultrasound. He continues to challenge the development of next-generation medical devices and their implementation in society beyond the framework of academic research.

Mr. Kazuya Takahashi
Representative Director and CEO, The Harmony Corporation Care Worker / Dementia Care Specialist / Dementia Practitioner Training

Born in Tagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture. After graduating from the Men's Fashion Department of Vantan Design Institute, worked as a fashion designer in Tokyo and Italy. After returning to Japan, he faced the aging of his parents when he lived with them at home and established the company in Iizuka City, Fukuoka Prefecture in April 2012 to solve their nursing care issues. Currently, the company operates six nursing homes and one daycare center specializing in care for the elderly with dementia, and develops and sells a dementia communication robot, "Daichan.
