What is the 4D Printing Summit?

4D printing is a technology for 3D printing materials whose shape and properties can be changed by external stimuli such as light, temperature, magnetic fields, pH, and force. 4D printing is beginning to attract attention as a new manufacturing method in fields such as soft materials. As research and development of 4D printers is beginning in Japan, the importance of developing elemental technologies and applying the resulting technologies is expected to increase. We believe that the formation of a forum to discuss R&D and application development is essential to accelerate R&D on 4D printing in Japan in the future.

This meeting aims not only to introduce the state-of-the-art of 4D printing technology development, but also to expand the 4D printing R&D community through panel sessions by experts on 4D printing.
