Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference in Tokyo 2022
We enjoy a variety of luxury goods in our daily lives. In addition to the four major tastes of alcohol, tea, coffee, and cigarettes, recent technological advances have led to the use of a variety of goods and services in the form of tastes, providing a moment of comfort and enrichment to our lives. As in the phrase "beer tastes good after a hard day's work," it is thought that various experiences become habitual in the stories that lead to "one's own moment" and form the value of a luxury item. So how do people make new (novel) experiences into habits? And what meaning do habits and tastes have in an extreme environment, where the everyday has been stripped away? In this session, we will discuss the nature of "tastes" as a unique culture with researchers and experts with diverse perspectives.
Not limited to the themes of this session, we will have a program of discussions among researchers, startups, and large companies from a variety of perspectives. For details, please refer to the conference website.
*The event will be held after taking measures against new coronavirus infection on the day of the event.
