Kochi Prefecture x Association of Hyperdisciplinarity Food Tech Forum was held, attended by 136 people!

Kochi Prefecture, with Liberace Co.The "Kochi Prefecture x Hyperdisciplinary Society of Japan Food Tech Forum" was held on Friday, August 28, 2012, to create the seeds for new food-related businesses through collaboration. Fifty-four people attended the Kochi venue, and 82 people participated online.

As part of the "FY 2020 Kochi Prefecture Human Resource Development Project for New Business Creation," this forum aims to bring startup companies and researchers with advanced technological seeds to Kochi Prefecture and collaborate with businesses and entrepreneurs in Kochi Prefecture to create highly unique demonstration projects using Kochi's rich natural environment as a stage. The goal of the project is to create highly unique demonstration projects in Kochi's rich natural environment.

Under the theme of "Creating the Future of Kochi's Food with Technology," startup companies and major corporations from outside the prefecture that are active in the food tech field were invited to participate in a panel discussion with local businesses and to introduce food tech case studies.

In the pitch session by startup companies, researchers, and businesses in Kochi Prefecture, five teams from Kochi Prefecture and 14 teams from outside the prefecture presented their ideas for demonstration experiments and businesses they would like to realize in Kochi Prefecture by combining knowledge, technology, and know-how from different fields, such as the development of functional foods using local ingredients and effective utilization of food residues. They presented their business ideas.
