Riverness will sponsor the event.Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference in Osaka Forum 2019(Saturday, May 18, 2019), a panel discussion will be held within the "Food of the Future Guided by New Technologies.

Food is indispensable for our survival. We seek food not only to live, but also to maintain our health, to enrich ourselves as human beings, and for food culture. In this close relationship with food, various technologies are being developed to solve issues such as the food crisis caused by population growth and human health problems. In the near future, will the future dining scene as depicted in the world of movies become a reality? We will discuss the food of the future, guided by new technologies, together with food ingredients that are currently the focus of attention and ventures that are researching to bring new perspectives to the table.

We have prepared a program of discussions among researchers, venture companies, and large corporations from various perspectives, not limited to the themes of this session. We are currently accepting applications for audience participation. Please visit the conference website (see below).

Kengo Suzuki

After graduating from the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Agriculture in 2003 with a specialization in Biological Systems Engineering, he entered the Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences of the same university for a master's degree, which he completed in 2006. In August 2005, while still a student, he became Director and General Manager of the Research and Development Department of Euglena Co. In December of the same year, he realized the mass cultivation of microalgae euglena (Japanese name: Midori Mushi) outdoors for food use.

Hidenori Takeshita

Born in Amakusa City, Kumamoto Prefecture. After graduating from the University of Hyogo, he joined a foreign pharmaceutical manufacturer, and after making a U-turn to Kumamoto in 1998, he worked in product development at Rivatape Pharmaceuticals before establishing Toy Medical Co. Agritech Grand Prix in 2017, and the Yoshinoya Award at the 4th Agritech Grand Prix. Subsequently, he started selling the salt-exclusion supplement Del Salt, and in July 2018, he achieved a capital and business alliance with Rohto Pharmaceutical Co. and Livanes Co.

Yusuke Shinozawa

He graduated from the Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Tokyo with a Master's degree in Agricultural Sciences. After working for a PR company, he joined RIVANES in 2009, where he launched the media development business in 2012 and the seed acceleration business "TECH PLANTER" in 2013. 2015, he was appointed as Growth Manager at the Real Tech Fund, where he is in charge of bio- and Since 2018, he has served as the head of the Founding and Development Business Department. Since 2018, he has been working on the theme of "founding a company" instead of starting a business.

Yosuke Miyauchi

During his master's and doctoral studies, he traveled to Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to establish high-yield soybean cultivation technology with local researchers under the research theme of "Development of high-yield soybean cultivation technology in drylands of China. At RIVANES, he is using his research experience to conduct research on the cultivation of space soybeans and domestic wheat Yumechikara with elementary, junior high, and high school students. Currently, at the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Research Center, he is promoting research and development in multiple fields, such as agriculture and forestry, and forestry and livestock, under the mission of "promoting research and technology development related to food production.
