【実施報告】2024年8月31日(土)超異分野学会2024 大阪・関西大会を開催しました

(Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and CCO: Jyo Inoue) held the Super Heterodox Society 2024 Osaka/Kansai Conference (hosted by RIVANES) on Saturday, August 31, 2024.

With the cooperation of all 13 partner companies and organizations, the conference theme was "Rebuilding the Research Ecosystem," and there were scheduled to be keynote speeches, 9 sessions, 25 research pitches, and 123 poster and booth presentations. Due to the approach of Typhoon No. 10, five of the nine sessions were held in a hybrid format, 18 research pitches and 86 poster presentations were made for on-site discussions, but 307 researchers, venture companies, large corporations, medium-sized and small companies, producers, local governments, junior high and high school students The discussions transcended the boundaries of different fields and industries. The keynote lecture was given by Dr. Takeo Kanade of Carnegie Mellon University under the title of "Starting New Research: Let's Keep Doing Interesting Research with Amateurs' Ideas and Genin's Execution.

In addition, "Knowledge Manufacturing Ignition" was held as a special project to generate collaborative hypotheses in different fields from poster sessions. In this project, collaborative hypotheses generated from discussions among participants were solicited during the "Super Cross-Disciplinary Splash," "Poster & Booth Core Time," "Lunch Workshop," and other times during the conference. Of the applications gathered through this project, five selected application teams made presentations at the afternoon Co-Creation Pitch. Of these, the Kyoto University Prize and the Hyperdifferent Field Prize were awarded to the teams that we particularly wanted to support. Ignition Partners and REVANES will follow up after the event and work to realize and expand the research ideas generated at this event toward the conference's theme, "Rebuilding the Research Ecosystem.

The Association for Transdisciplinary Research is a place where participants from different fields and industries collaborate across boundaries to create new knowledge. We will promote new projects that emerge from this forum, and based on the results of these projects, we will continue to create a chain of research that will lead to new interdisciplinary fusions in the future.
