The Potential of Digital Technology to Protect Humanity's Access to Clean Water
Panel discussion on "The Potential of Digital Technology to Protect Humanity's Access to Clean Water" at Kagawa Forum 2022, a transdisciplinary conference hosted by RIVANES (session partner: FUSO Corporation)(the "Company") will be held.
Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference in Kagawa Forum 2022
In order to build and maintain mankind's access to safe and affordable water, there is a need for a sufficient number of engineers to support the water supply infrastructure. However, it is not easy to simultaneously address the shortage of engineers, which is becoming increasingly serious in Japan, while simultaneously transferring operation and management technologies that rely on intuition and experience to the rest of the world. What kind of technology will be needed to expand and maintain these water systems and other important societies? Through this session, we will discuss the vision of the future together with technology ventures that possess cutting-edge knowledge.
We will have a program of discussions among researchers, startups, and large companies from a variety of perspectives, not limited to the themes of this session. For more information, please refer to the conference website.
*The event will be held after taking measures against new coronavirus infection on the day of the event.

In 2002, he joined Fuso Corporation. In 2020, he joined the Digital Promotion Department of the Solution Design Division, where he has been working on the creation of a solution that enables users of water infrastructure to "connect" beyond time, place, and field by linking BIM/CIM* related technologies, thereby accumulating knowledge and know-how and making their work both more advanced and easier. The department has been working to create solutions that both advance and simplify operations by accumulating knowledge and expertise of users related to water infrastructure by linking BIM/CIM* related technologies that transcend time, place, and field.
BIM/CIM (Building/Construction Information Modeling and Management) is a construction production and management system in which a 3D information model is constructed to enhance and utilize information at each stage from the survey, planning, and design stages to the construction and maintenance management stages, It is a concept that aims to improve the efficiency and sophistication of operations by accumulating attribute information and sharing the information among the parties involved.
