We will hold a special event, "Regional Manufacturing Evolution Theory Spinning with Venture Businesses and Researchers - Manufacturing that Changes Japan and the World Starts Here -" (Partner: Sakata City Industrial Promotion Town Development Center Sanroku) within the Japan Society of Hyperdifferent Fields Yamagata Forum 2022 (August 20, 2022 (Saturday)).

Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference in Yamagata Forum 2022

The Sakata City Industrial Promotion and Town Development Center Sanroku is currently focusing on community formation and activity support with the aim of supporting the creation of new industries in the region.

In this special program, we will introduce the activities of the Super Factory Group, a group of small and medium-sized manufacturing companies that are taking on the challenge of "solving the world's manufacturing problems," as well as case studies from creative machinery manufacturers, mainly agricultural machinery manufacturers in the city, who are engaged in R&D activities in response to requests from researchers and venture companies. The case studies will be introduced by a creative machinery manufacturer centering on agricultural machinery in the city, which is engaged in R&D activities in response to requests from researchers and venture companies.

The program is not limited to the themes of this session, but includes discussions among researchers, venture companies, and large corporations from a variety of perspectives. For more information, please refer to the forum website.

Mr. Tomohisa Ishii
President and Representative Director, Ishii Seisakusho Co.

After graduating from university, he joined Ishii Seisakusho in 2013.
She was engaged in business management and planning in the Administration Department. During this time, he met many of his company's employees and farmers in Japan, and witnessed firsthand the difficulties they were facing in their lives and future. At that time, he decided to create an environment where citizens and farmers living in Sakata can work and live with peace of mind.
In 2015, his company was destroyed by fire, and he was asked to rebuild the company and became its representative director. After reviewing management, training, and improving work styles, the company returned to profitability three years after the fire and received an award as a Youth Yell Company, among others. He also developed and promoted rice farming labor-saving technologies, such as dense seedling technology and uncoated seeding technology, and was involved in the promotion of these technologies within the company as well as in activities to spread them throughout the country. He has contributed to the expansion of the scale of rice cultivation and improvement of profits by helping rice farmers in Japan to save labor.

Kazuhiro Yoshida
Director and CPO, Liverness, Inc.
Director, Nariko Seimitsu Co.

He began his internship at RIVANES Corporation in 2004 and became a director of the company in 2009, focusing on the Osaka office opened in 2006, and the Osaka headquarters in 2018. Since the same year, he has concurrently served as Director of Seikou Seimitsu Corporation (current position) and Director of Kibata Keiki Seisakusho Corporation (~January 2022), focusing on the activities of the manufacturing open innovation center at the two companies.
