The Kochi Prefecture x Hyperdisciplinarity Conference Agri-Tech Forum was held, attended by 121 people!

K.K. LEVANES, in collaboration with Kochi Prefecture, held the "Kochi Prefecture x Hyperdiscipline Society Agri-Tech Forum" on Wednesday, September 16, 2012, to generate the seeds for new food-related businesses. Fifty-one people attended the Kochi venue, and more than 70 people participated online.

As part of the "FY 2020 Kochi Prefecture Human Resource Development Project for New Business Creation," this forum aims to bring startup companies and researchers with advanced technological seeds to Kochi Prefecture and collaborate with businesses and entrepreneurs in Kochi Prefecture to create highly unique demonstration projects using Kochi's rich natural environment as a stage. The goal of the project is to create highly unique demonstration projects in Kochi's rich natural environment.

Under the theme of "Creating the Future of Kochi's Agriculture with Technology," startup companies and major corporations from outside the prefecture that are active in the agri-tech field were invited to participate in a panel discussion with local businesses and to introduce agri-tech case studies.

• Businesses utilizing unutilized resources that are circulating local resources

In the pitch session by startup companies, researchers, and businesses in Kochi Prefecture, five teams from Kochi Prefecture and 15 teams from outside the prefecture presented their ideas for demonstration experiments and businesses they would like to realize in Kochi Prefecture by combining knowledge, technology, and know-how from different fields, such as ideas for utilizing unused resources and technologies to reduce labor in agriculture.
