Within the 9th Annual Conference of the Association of Hyperdisciplinarity, March 6-7, 2020 (Friday and Saturday), hosted by Liverness, a panel discussion entitled "TheTaste 5.0 - From its definition to the future(Session Partner: Japan Tobacco Inc.

 Liquor, tea, coffee, cigarettes - we enjoy a wide variety of luxury items in our daily lives. Tobacco is defined as "food and beverages that are not intended for nutritional intake, but for flavor or stimulation. However, recent technological advances have brought about changes that have diversified the definition of luxury goods, and a variety of goods and activities are now used in a luxury way to provide a moment of comfort and enrichment to our lives. What is the "richness" that luxury goods bring to us? What will be the next generation of luxury goods in the digital age? We will expand the discussion on the roles of luxury goods and their future visions from various perspectives.

We will have a program of discussions among researchers, start-ups, and large companies from a variety of perspectives, not limited to the themes of this session.

Shikata Hiroki Mr. Hiroki
Born in Nagasaki, Japan, in 1965, he graduated from the Graduate School of Science at the University of Tokyo in 1989 and joined JT Corporation. He was engaged in research on chemical sensory perception, such as taste and aroma, and spent two years as a Visiting Scientist at the Monell Institute for Chemical Sensory Research in the U.S. from 1995. After returning to Japan, he worked on the development of D-spec (low odor tobacco products) technology and led the application of this technology to products. In 2010, he became Director of the R&D Planning Department, in 2012, Director of the Product Technology Development Department, and in 2015, Director of the Central Tobacco Research Institute, before assuming his current position in 2019. He is currently experimenting with cross-divisional technological collaboration and the creation of a more open alliance system, based on his belief that innovation is born from "intellectual nonsense. Ms. Masako Ohira
D. from Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine in 2011. In the same year, he became a researcher at Nagaoka University of Technology's Center for the Development of Top Runners in the Fusion of Industry, Academia, and Government. In the same year, he became a lecturer at the Faculty of Education, Shiga University. 2015 Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education, Shiga University. Since his graduate school days, he has been consistently engaged in research on stress evaluation using hormones in saliva. In recent years, he has been engaged in the research and development of methodologies for stress assessment that do not use saliva, such as mental stress assessment using biochemicals derived from body tissue fluid, nails, and hair.

Shin Murakami
Graduated from the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Aoyama Gakuin University. While in college, he founded a limited liability company "Dennou-tai" with his friends. in August 2000, he joined Yahoo Japan Corporation following the merger of PIM Corporation and Yahoo Japan Corporation. after retiring once in 2011, he again joined Yahoo Japan in April 2012 as Executive Officer and CMO in charge of planning strategy for mobile business. 2017. In November, he was appointed as the Japan representative of LinkedIn, a business-specific network used by 610 million people. He is also a strategic and technical advisor for several startups.

Jyo Inoue
D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Tokyo University of Pharmacy and Life Sciences. He is a founding member of LIVERNESS. After completing his doctoral studies, he worked as an assistant professor and lecturer at the Faculty of Science, Kitasato University, and an assistant professor at the Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto University, before being appointed and concurrently serving as a specially-appointed associate professor at the Institute for Advanced Biosciences, Keio University in 2015, and as a professor of advanced pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kumamoto University and a visiting professor at Keio University's Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2018. While conducting research and development, he is a researcher involved in launching joint research projects with universities and research institutions and supporting the establishment of research institutes.
