Riverness will sponsor the event.The 8th Main Meeting of the Association of Hyperdifferent Fields(Friday and Saturday, March 8-9, 2019) within,Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, The University of TokyoAssociate Professor Keihiro Kawaharawill deliver the keynote speech, "Harmonizing Business and Technology through Design.
Throughout history, new technologies have created unexpected new businesses and changed the world. Moreover, some observers believe that the frequency of these game-changing innovations has been shrinking since the advent of information technology.
Since no one can set definitive milestones for the future, we believe that the time has come for university researchers, business people from large corporations, and startup innovators to work hand in hand to speculate about the future.
The same can be said for product development. This presentation will introduce our efforts and experiences in developing and integrating products in harmony with business, using "design" as a medium, to see how new discoveries and functional advancements can fit into people's lives and improve inconveniences, rather than performance and price determining value.
We will have a program of discussions among researchers, venture companies, and large corporations from various perspectives, not limited to the themes of this session.
