The Forum/Symposium is a forum for discussion on the subject of initiatives being activated in the region and issues at industrial sites to create opportunities for teams from different fields, including academia, companies, and town factories, to initiate research. The uniqueness of the host city, which is not found in the main conference (Tokyo), will be developed as the core of the conference.

Ryukyu Forum 2017 aims to create opportunities for collaboration between production sites, academia, and companies by mixing oral programs, panel discussions, and poster presentations focused on primary industries with visits to production sites that are looking to grow their businesses through advanced technology.
