[Hyperdisciplinary Conference Tokyo 2026] The Realities of Large Company Spinouts: Leveraging Outside Capital to Accelerate Technology Implementation / Friday, March 6, 2026, 15:50-16:40

RIVERNESS will host the session "The Realities of Large Corporate Spinouts: Leveraging Outside Capital to Accelerate Technology Implementation" (session partner: UntroD Capital Japan Co., Ltd.) at the Super Interdisciplinary Conference Tokyo 2026.

The technology is there. We can see the challenges. Yet, internal decision-making and capital barriers slow down the speed of social implementation. One way to break through this situation is to spin out. How do you attract outside capital and support, which you could not obtain if you stayed within a business corporation, and how do you move forward with your new business? The author discusses the axis of decision-making for independence, fund procurement, management team formation and member recruitment, internal and external interest adjustment...the realities of spin-outs in the words of the people on the front lines.

We will have a program of discussions with researchers, ventures, and companies from a variety of perspectives, not limited to the themes of this session. For more information,Conference Websitefor more information.
