Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference (HIC), Thailand, Examines Scaling Thai Research Through Industry and Regional Collaboration

Bangkok, Thailand | 31st Jan 2026 - HIC Thailand will host a forward-looking panel discussion titled “Scaling Thai Research Through Industry and Regional Collaboration,” bringing together leaders from start-ups, public-sector innovation agencies, and the digital ecosystem to explore how Thai research can be commercialised and expanded beyond national borders through structured, multi-sector partnerships.

As an interdisciplinary platform, HIC Thailand connects innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs, and practitioners to address complex challenges through collaboration and dialogue. By bridging science, technology, policy, and industry, the conference supports initiatives that translate research and innovation into practical, scalable, and regionally relevant solutions.

Anchored in real-world practice, the session will feature Naturenix, represented by Mr. Yuta Akakuma, alongside a representative from NXPO Thailand (Dr. Thithiwat) and Mr. Worapoj Chosen, Founder of Chosen Digital. Together, they will explore how start-ups, public-sector enablers, and ecosystem builders can work hand in hand to turn research into commercially viable and impactful solutions.

The discussion comes at a timely moment following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Naturenix and Yamada Shokai, highlighting a concrete pathway for international industry collaboration and regional market access.

Moderated by Shohei Michael (Leave a Nest), the panel will share practical insights into building sustainable research-to-market pathways, the role of public-sector support, and how cross-border collaboration can unlock new opportunities for Thai innovation. This session is particularly relevant for policymakers, university leaders, and innovation ecosystem stakeholders seeking actionable and replicable models for scaling research through collaboration.

Attendees can expect a dynamic and timely discussion on aligning innovation with local needs. For details, please refer to the conference website.
