Vietnam has been experiencing this boom in manufacturing for years, and is still expected to be a critical high-growth sector in the years to come.
With the growth of this sector however, other factors also need to be taken into consideration, including the safety and welfare of workers, environmental implications, and even making sure that industrial products that reach the market are not counterfeits. Dr. Quan has 50+ articles published in reputable international ISI journals. career include the 2008 Outstanding Research Achievement and the 2008 Excellence in Academic Performance from Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST). Dr. Vo Thanh Hang Dr. Vo Thanh Hang is currently a lecturer/ researcher of Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources (FENR), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. She received her Ph.D. at Kyungpook National University, Daegu, Korea. Rafael Masters Rafael is the CEO of Vulcan Augmetics, a Vietnam based startup building biosignal sensor technology for assistive devices, starting with prosthetics. In developing and growing his company Rafael has been involved with the regional startup and medtech scene for the last 5 years and approaches the topic from both a founders perspective and a wider systemic view. MODERATOR: (in Japanese) YEVGENY ASTER T. DULLA, PhD Yev was born and raised in Iloilo City, Philippines. He graduated with a degree in BS Chemistry from the University of the Philippines – Visayas, after which he worked as an instructor at the University of the Philippines – Manila. He came to Japan in 2013 to pursue graduate studies through the HIGO Program of Kumamoto University, and acquired his Masters in Health Life Sciences in 2015 and his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2018. He worked at a business consultancy company in Tokyo in 2019 to help bring biotechnology and medical companies from abroad into Japan. In 2020, he joined Leave a Nest Co., Ltd. and is currently under the Frontier Development Division. He is also a Balik Scientist Awardee for 2021. In the same year, he co-founded the Leave a Nest Philippines office and is its current Managing Director. |
