The 7th Annual Conference of the Association of Transdisciplinary Research in Humanities and Social Sciences, Keynote Speech "Artificial Intelligence vs Bio-Intelligence - Reverse Engineering the Brain

In line with the conference theme "What is a person and to the research surrounding a person," oral sessions and poster sessions by people from diverse positions such as academia, venture companies, and business companies are planned at the 7th main conference of the Association for Transdisciplinary Research in Humanities and Social Sciences to be held on Friday, March 2 and Saturday, March 3, 2018 (hosted by REVANES, venue: TEPIA Advanced Technology Pavilion). The conference will be held at TEPIA's TEPIA Advanced Technology Center in Tokyo, Japan.
We are pleased to announce that Hirochi Takahashi, Lecturer at the University of Tokyo's Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, will be the keynote speaker on Saturday, March 3, 2018. The title of his speech is.Artificial Intelligence vs Life Intelligence - Reverse Engineering the BrainIt is.
Takahashi's unique research includes controlling the movement of a mobile robot according to the activity of neurons using a system that observes the activity of cultured neurons in real time. He will also talk about this research in his keynote speech.
Mr. Takahashi has also published books such as "Introduction to Brain Science for Mechanics - Reverse Engineering the Brain" (Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, Ltd.) and "Introduction to Brain Science for Mechanics - Memory, Learning and Consciousness" (Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, Ltd.) that explain brain mechanisms from an engineering rather than life science perspective in an easy-to-understand manner. The book is published by Nikkan Kogyo Shinbunsha, Ltd.
