This panel session aims to examine the consistent challenges associated with dengue outbreaks in the Philippines, and explore innovative approaches to address this persistent public health concern. One such solution is through the technology of FiberCraze, a startup company from Japan, who has developed an innovative method of giving function to fibers through a process known as “crazing.” One notable application of this technology involves the integration of insect-repellent agents into fabrics, creating clothes that has the capability of repelling mosquitoes. Through this session, the panelists will be discussing the potential implementation of this innovative technology within the Philippine context, and its possible contribution to mitigating the impact of dengue across the country.
