To generate new knowledge from the 300,000 patents that continue to accumulate every year

A panel discussion entitled "How to Generate New Knowledge from the 300,000 patents that continue to accumulate every year" (presented by RIVANES Corporation's Knowledge Foundation Research Center) will be held during the 10th Annual Conference of the Association of Hyperdifferent Fields, March 5-6, 2021 (Friday and Saturday), hosted by RIVANES Corporation.

The registration period for auditing has ended.

Despite the fact that patent applications cost several hundred thousand yen, approximately 300,000 applications are filed each year. The JPO has developed a business matching report to make effective use of this patent information. The report, which lists candidate companies for collaboration based on the patent information held by the JPO, enables meaningful matching that leads to the promotion of open innovation. Academic papers and information on public research funding are also useful big data, and combining them can serve as a platform for generating new knowledge. In this session, we will discuss approaches to create new value from such big data of knowledge and technology.

We will have a program of discussions among researchers, start-ups, and large companies from a variety of perspectives, not limited to the themes of this session.
We are now accepting applications for audience participation. Please visit the conference website (see below).

*The event will be held after taking measures against new coronavirus infection on the day of the event. For more information
