He joined Meiji Co. in 1997 and has been consistently engaged in marketing for 20 years. since 2004, he has promoted marketing, branding, and strategic PR for functional yogurt, including the R-1 brand. since 2014, he has overseen the entire business and grown sales to 120 billion yen. His strength lies in his practical ability to provide consistent support from evidence building to product development, branding, and PR. in 2019, he became independent and established Kikuchi Shoten Co. With the creed of \"delivering meaningful products as meaning,\" he participates in research and development from the conception stage, designing a context in which the value of research and technology can be conveyed. In 2022, he began collaborating with Macromill, and is working with companies on the entire process of implementing research results as value.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Researcher on institutional design and corporate behavior in the broad sense surrounding the market information asymmetry problem. His research interests include brand formation and management as quality signaling behavior by sellers, advertising and labeling as their decision-making environment, and legal and official regulations and certification systems related to quality. Policy and strategy recommendations focus on communication planning (human and non-human). He worked at Nagoya University of Commerce, Tokai Gakuen University, and Ritsumeikan University before assuming his current position. He was a member of the selection committee for the planning and operation of the Fukui Prefecture Youth Entrepreneurship Development Project (2025), and a member of the selection committee for the publicly solicited proposal for the Fukui Prefecture Emergency Medical Consultation Service (2024). After completing his PhD in Agriculture at Meiji University in 2006, he worked as a RIKEN Research Fellow before becoming an Associate Professor at Keio University's Institute for Frontier Life Sciences in 2012. He is also a group leader at the Kanagawa Prefectural Institute of Industrial Technology, a specially appointed professor at Juntendo University Graduate School of Medicine, a representative director of the Society for Intestinal Design, a representative director of the Short Chain Fatty Acids Association, and a representative director of the Intestinal Environment Health Care Association. In 2024, he was selected for Forbes Japan Entrepreneur Book 400 and Highly Cited Researcher 2024 by Clarivate Analytics.<\/p>\n\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
