However, the biological clock of the sense of smell itself and the effects of smell on the various clocks in the body are still largely unknown. After that, he worked on molecular mechanisms of memory formation at the University of Tokyo and the University of Washington (Seattle, USA), and is currently working on the diurnal rhythm regulation of brain functions.
