A panel discussion titled \"A Machi-Factory Tries AI Visual Inspection\" (presented by RIVANES Corporation's Monozukuri Research Center) will be held during the 10th Annual Conference of the Association of Hyperdifferent Fields, March 5-6, 2021 (Friday and Saturday), hosted by RIVANES Corporation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

With the development of technology, AI is no longer a technology that is out of reach for SMEs, but one that can be utilized by SMEs to improve not only productivity, but also employee satisfaction and technology transfer, among other benefits. While the software part of AI is becoming less difficult to utilize due to technological development, the key to its introduction lies in the on-site knowledge and skill of SMEs, yet few companies are aware of this. In this session, we will discuss the convenience and difficulty of using AI tools for visual inspections, inviting a local factory that has taken the initiative in implementing AI tools rather than relying on outside IT companies through a demonstration project initiated by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and McKinsey & Company.<\/p>\n

We will have a program of discussions among researchers, start-ups, and large companies from a variety of perspectives, not limited to the themes of this session.

After graduating from high school attached to Nippon Institute of Technology (now Komaba High School attached to Nippon Institute of Technology), he joined the company and learned mold technology under his predecessor. He was one of the first to introduce 3D CAD and machining centers, and improved the accuracy of complex molds. He also acquired deep drawing and plate forging technologies that had not been available in the company until then, and worked on sales activities based on VE proposals, such as converting machined parts to stamping and two parts to one part, establishing a system from prototype development to mass production. In recent years, the company has been challenging the possibilities of press working, for example, by teaming up with designers to start product development.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
