On Saturday, May 18, 2019, LIBANES hosted the Super Interdisciplinary Society of Japan Osaka Forum 2019. The event attracted 266 people from researchers, ventures, large companies, town factories, and even junior and senior high school students. The event was a great success with keynote speeches, 11 sessions and 24 research poster presentations, and booth exhibits of 30 companies, ventures, and town factories.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This year's Osaka Forum of the Association of Transdisciplinary Research in Medicine, Food and Housing will be held under the title of \"Creating a new axis of medicine, food and housing: From Kansai! Omoroi Futuristic Blueprint for the Future,\" the forum discussed what kind of future could be envisioned in sessions on the themes of how researchers should be, education, aging, food, drugs, shoes, community, behavior change, and living space. Based on the discussions in these sessions, the closing session was held to flesh out what kind of future could be envisioned from the Kansai region, and what could be done to start the process toward its realization. The research poster presentations and booth exhibits also enabled research exchanges that transcended fields, positions, and generations, creating opportunities for new collaborations, such as joint research.<\/span><\/p>\n

The RIVANES Osaka Head Office will continue to nurture the seeds of innovation that were born at the Osaka Forum of the Association of Transdisciplinary Studies, and to build Osaka's future with researchers and the local community. We hope to see the seeds of collaboration that were born this time grow and develop. We look forward to seeing you there.<\/span><\/p>\n
