\nJapan is facing an aging society with a declining birthrate. The shortage of nursing care and welfare workers has created a mountain of problems that are beginning to be felt everywhere. The problems we see today are just the tip of the iceberg, and will become even more serious as the average life expectancy continues to increase in modern society. It is a critical mission of mankind to create a system that allows both caregivers and those who need care to live out their lives in good health. In recent years, there has been a lot of talk about care and welfare reform based on AI, IoT, sensor technology, etc. as a solution to this problem, but can these technologies really be the savior?
\nIn this session, ventures that develop AI, excretion sensors, and sleep tech that teach skilled nursing care know-how will gather to discuss the future of nursing care and welfare.
\nThis session will be moderated by Yukihiro Maru, Representative Director and Global CEO of Liverness, Inc.<\/span><\/p>\n

We will have a program of discussions among researchers, venture companies, and large corporations from various perspectives, not limited to the themes of this session.

He promoted the digitalization of Recruit Holdings, serving as the Director of Media Technology Lab and the first Director of Recruit AI Laboratory, and was appointed as Director and COO of Digital Sensation Inc. in 2017, assuming his current position upon the merger of the two companies. After witnessing the horrific conditions at a special care home for the elderly where caregivers were forced to help patients to eliminate their waste, he decided to commercialize \"Helppad,\" an elimination sensor that uses an odor sensor to detect the presence of waste.<\/span><\/p>\n
