Creative Human Resource Development for the Future from the Frontlines of Education<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

We will hold a panel discussion, \"Thinking from the Frontline of Education, Creative Human Resource Development in the Future,\" within the 7th Annual Conference of the Association of Hyperdifferent Fields, sponsored by RIVANES (March 2 and 3, 2018 @ TEPIA Advanced Technology Pavilion).<\/p>\n

Companies are focusing on fostering creative human resources while starting new initiatives for the next 5 to 10 years. The current generation of high school and junior high school students will be responsible for these new initiatives, and the field of school education for nurturing the next generation is undergoing major changes with the reform of university entrance examinations in 2020 and the revision of the Courses of Study in 2022, which is said to be the most significant reform since the Meiji Restoration. We can see the future of human resources who will grow through independent learning, such as \"problem-based research,\" in which students set their own problems and think about how to solve them, and the introduction of learning methods such as active learning and project-based learning (PBL).<\/p>\n

If we look at it as a place to nurture \"creative human resources\" who set their own issues and take on the challenge of solving them, there must be many hints in the field of education that we can apply to our own work. Together with companies, educational institutions, and current high school students, we will think about the future of creative human resource development.<\/p>\n

\n<\/b>He has extensive experience in developing programs for research projects involving collaboration between business people and junior and senior high school students in areas such as engineering and food production, and in developing laboratory classes that communicate advanced science in an easy-to-understand manner. He has been involved in \"Science Castle,\" one of the largest academic conferences in Japan exclusively for junior and senior high school student researchers, since its inception.<\/span><\/p>\n

After serving as the general manager of the Educational Materials Development Division, the Education Development Division, and the Human Resource Development Division, he became the Director of the Research Career Center in May 2016. He has extensive experience in developing and implementing human resource development programs for companies and universities, focusing on fostering science bridge communicators through experimental classes. At the Research Career Center, he positions the careers of people with a \"research\" mindset as \"research careers,\" and is engaged in research on fostering human resources who will pursue research careers.<\/p>\n

      What is the Hyper Interdisciplinary Conference?<\/h2>\n

      Since 2002, when RIVERNESS was founded, we have held an annual \"Super Hetero-Disciplinary Exchange Meeting\" where students and researchers participating in internship programs at RIVERNESS discuss their thoughts on their research and issues they wish to solve through their research. Since 2012, the conference has evolved into a \"super interdisciplinary conference\" with the participation of researchers from industry and academia, where discussions are held from a broader perspective.<\/p>\n
